About Us

The International Guardianship Network (IGN)” is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to provide information, training, and academic exchange to professionals, curators, carers of people with disabilities and dependency, family members, volunteers and all those linked to the tasks of support, assistance and representation of people of legal age, in the legal, political, economic or social field. It is made up of local and national, private and public organizations, as well as people who are supporters, curators, professionals, judicial servant, magistrates, volunteers and policy makers in this area, from all over the world.

The institution works within the framework of the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN, 2006), the Yokohama Declaration (2010) and the Inter-American Convention on the Protection of the Human Rights of Older Persons (2015). Therefore, it supports the realization of innovative projects, the development of workshops, seminars, or congresses, and any other activity that strengthens and extends its application throughout the world.
